THE TALE OF BECOMING
Becoming is a journey that never ends, it is peculiar to
you. You can’t copy someone’s becoming. It is yours. In this journey, every
second is new, not every day, it is every second, every second count and it
accumulates to who you would become in the next minute.
Becoming can be sweet and tough depending on the season you
are at. You seem to master a bit today and by tomorrow, the part you thought you
mastered vanishes and you become a student again. Becoming makes you a child.
You are a fresh student every day, you just wake up every day positive and
expectant. The good thing about it is, it builds you into someone admirable and a personality
that stands out amongst the crowd, that’s if you permit yourself to stand out.
Our becoming ends the day we die. Every day we live; we become. Becoming does not have a pattern. It doesn’t have a code. It doesn’t have a particular way of life. Your becoming is unique to you and you alone. But there are tips that can help you enjoy your becoming even in the most challenging phase
1. KNOW THAT YOU ARE GOD’S AND YOUR SCRIPT HAS BEEN WRITTEN.
Understand that you are God’s baby, he
loves you so much and he has written your script. He has every day of your life
written down in his books. Not a day in your life is new, He has lived every day of your life before you were born.
Psalms 139:16 TPT “You saw who you created
me to be before I became me, Before I’d ever seen the light of the day, the
number of the days you planned for me were already recorded in your book”.
This scripture is always a consolation and guess what? Even the devil doesn’t have an idea about what is written in the book. He only knows what you BECAME, he doesn’t know your BECOMING
2. YOU WON ALREADY.
Like I mentioned to you, the becoming phase
can sometimes be tough, no matter what it throws at you, know that you won
already, fight every battle from a place of victory, not fear. Always believe
that it would always end in praise. Let me share a secret of what I do with you
Each time I’m faced with any challenge, I stand in front of my mirror and share the testimony of the victory I’m expecting. Sometimes I say the testimony with tears, or laughter depending on the situation and the emotions attached to the challenge and it works for me every time. My dear, you are a winner, you won already, the challenge has got nothing on you.
3. BE OPTIMISTIC.
Never for once should you be negative about your becoming. Always be optimistic. Be positive. Have a positive mindset. See your becoming as an opportunity to write your story in a unique way. It is an opportunity for the world to see a legend rise beyond all hurdles. Your becoming is a gift. Embrace you with love and gratitude.
4. HAVE FUN.
Yass, have fun in your becoming, don’t be so serious with it that you lose out on happy moments, make memories. Laugh hard, travel the world. explore you, see far, imagine wide. Visit other people's becoming, ask them questions, pick the lesson you can from them. Remember, your becoming is peculiar to you, but have fun while living each second intentionally.
5. HAVE THE RIGHT NETWORK
This is really important; the quality of your becoming is largely dependent on the people you have around you. Your network of friends determines how interesting your becoming would look like. You need people who would strengthen you on your low days, people who would borrow you their belief when you have nothing left in your faith account. People who see your becoming possible, not people who are envious of every of your achievement or see you as a threat to their own becoming.
6. THE HOLY SPIRIT IS TO YOUR ADVANTAGE.
Jesus told his disciples “ There is so much
I would like to say to you, but it’s more than you can grasp at this moment but
when the truth-giving spirit comes he
will unveil the reality of every truth within you, He won't speak on His own,
but only hears from the father and he will reveal prophetically to you what is
to come” John 16:12-13 TPT
The Holy Spirit searches everything, even the depth of God. He’s always available for dialogue. I encourage you today to have a good relationship with Him, let him be your best friend. He’s ready to guide you.
7. JOURNAL YOUR BECOMING.
I’m not saying this because I love to
journal, I’m saying it because it would help your mental state especially
during the challenging part of your becoming. Journaling refreshes your mind and
gives you a sense of gratitude. When you go through what you have written down
you are no doubt going to be filled with gratitude because there are some experiences
you would have forgotten but when you journal, you keep them recorded and it also
helps you to write a better story. Journaling is a gift you can give yourself
in this journey called BECOMING.
The tale of becoming is never-ending, sometimes, it gets so
overwhelming and uncomfortable. Remember, you won already and don’t wallow in your
low moments, instead, say a word of prayer, journal, listen to music, chat with
friends, commune with the holy spirit and always keep a positive mindset throughout, see every moment as a gift to explore you.
Till I write to you again, enjoy your becoming
